I was so sad when the paper closed. Just a 2 year resident of Orting and love the hometown paper and it’s representation of what goes on in our little town. Will miss it and the on-line is a good idea too.!

I too was so sad after being here for only a year and a half to see the ‘paper’ go and am really grateful for the online paper!
We moved from Tacoma and have enjoyed moving to ‘Mayberry’, everyday we go out.
Thank you Orting for your kindness.
    I’m so glad we’ve found a home!

I am so happy to have Orting news again! Everyone that I spoke to was very upset to see The Gazette go away. Thank you for putting this site together! It’s great!

I am very sorry to see the Orting Gazette Close. However, I am thankful that the Orting News Hit the Press. In addition, I like the green aspect versus receiving the new in paper form. Like many individuals, I get irritated when my mail box is full of advertisments, paper spam that I costs me money to dispose. You are a welcomed addition to our household.

As a former employee of the Gazette I became involved with the Orting Community though I live in Enumclaw. I read today that Nestle has come to your beautiful town. Mr. O’Rourke, Director of Natural Resources, will make a fabulous presentation, just as they did in Enumclaw on June 2nd, 2008. I hope your citizens will do what our community did and investigate the Nestle company and especially their Bottled water division, just google the name and you will be amazed at the information available to you. At the Enumclaw City Council Meeting on June 23rd, the Nestle Bottled Water Plant was removed from consideration because there was no community support. City Administrators and City Council was swamped with emails, letters, telephone calls and personal visits from concerned citizens who did not want their water to be a commodity sold to anyone, let alone a non American Corporate Giant like Nestle. Look beyond the promises and money that Nestle puts in front of you, and find out who and what they are before you sign your water rights away.
